Job Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT/RC) or Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Healthcare

Location: Tucson, Arizona

PAY & INCENTIVES

* $30 to $35 per hour depending on related experience

* Bonus opportunity available

* $4,000 Sign-On Bonus
* $2,000 at 60 days
* $2,000 at 180 days

* Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel

 

SCHEDULE & COVERAGE

* Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

* Primarily office based respiratory care role

* Approximately 80% of patient interactions are completed at the branch location

* Travel to rural patients is typically limited to a few days per month

* Tucson, Arizona

* Marana, Arizona

* Kearny, Arizona

* Thatcher, Arizona

* Douglas, Arizona

* Nogales, Arizona

* Ajo, Arizona

* West Tucson service area

On Call Expectations

* On call responsibilities required

* RT assumes call coverage for:
* BiPAP
* BiPAP S
* BiPAP ST
* ASV
* NIV
* Invasive Ventilators
* Cough Assist
* Trach Oxygen patients

* On call volume is generally low but occasional after-hours patient support is required

 

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

* Must reside within 25 miles of Tucson, Arizona

 

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

* Personal vehicle required

* Mileage reimbursement available

* Company vehicle is not provided due to limited travel requirements

 

INTERVIEW PROCESS

* First interview conducted by phone

* Second interview conducted in person with the Local Clinical Manager and Area Manager participating by phone

 

ROLE ELIGIBILITY

* RRT, CRT, RC, and RN candidates are eligible

* Respiratory Therapists are strongly preferred

OVERVIEW

This role combines clinical respiratory care, patient education, equipment management, and ongoing therapy support.

* Conduct patient assessments and evaluations

* Provide education on respiratory equipment and prescribed therapies

* Set up and manage ventilators, PAP therapy, oxygen systems, and advanced respiratory equipment

* Adjust ventilator settings according to physician orders and patient needs

* Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues

* Provide ongoing patient follow up and support

* Maintain accurate clinical documentation

* Participate in on call coverage as needed

* Support training and onboarding of clinical staff

WHAT TO EXPECT

* Limited travel compared to most field respiratory therapy roles

QUALIFICATIONS

* Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT, CRT, or RC) or RN license required

* High school diploma or GED required

* Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred

* Home healthcare experience

* Respiratory therapy experience

* DME experience

* Degree in respiratory therapy, nursing, or related field

* One year of related clinical experience

* Strong patient education and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Excellent organization and time management

* Strong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting abilities

* Ability to manage multiple patient needs simultaneously

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

* Email and electronic documentation systems

* Internet navigation and research

* Standard office and communication equipment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Ability to lift and transport patient equipment up to 65 lbs

* Standing, walking, sitting, talking, and listening for extended periods

* Exposure to patient environments and potential health risks

* Must comply with N95 fit testing and respiratory protection requirements
