Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Home Healthcare

Location: West Branch, Michigan

 

PAY & INCENTIVES

* $35 to $40 per hour depending on related experience

* Bonus opportunity available

* $4,000 Sign-On Bonus
* $2,000 at 60 days
* $2,000 at 180 days

* Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel

 

SCHEDULE & COVERAGE

* Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

* Full time field based respiratory therapy role

Coverage Area

* West Branch, Michigan and surrounding service area

On Call Expectations

* Limited on call responsibilities

* RT provides support if the driver is unable to respond to after-hours needs

* On call volume is generally low

* Must reside within 50 miles of West Branch, Michigan

 

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

* Personal vehicle required

* Mileage reimbursement provided for eligible travel

OVERVIEW

This is a full-time respiratory therapy focused on providing respiratory care directly to patients in their homes and throughout the community.

* Conduct in home patient assessments and evaluations

* Provide education on respiratory equipment and prescribed therapies

* Set up and manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, PAP therapy, and advanced respiratory equipment

* Adjust ventilator settings according to physician orders and patient needs

* Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues as needed

* Provide ongoing patient follow up and support

* Maintain accurate clinical documentation

* Participate in limited after hours support when necessary

* Support training and onboarding of clinical staff

QUALIFICATIONS

* Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required

* High school diploma or GED required

* Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred

* Home healthcare experience

* Healthcare leadership or management experience

* DME experience

* Degree in respiratory therapy or related field

* At least one year of clinical respiratory therapy experience

* Strong patient education and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and manage a territory

* Excellent organization and time management

* Strong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting abilities

* Ability to build trust and rapport with patients, caregivers, and referral sources

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

* Email and electronic documentation systems

* Internet navigation and research

* Standard office and communication equipment

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Ability to lift and transport patient equipment up to 65 lbs

* Daily driving and travel throughout assigned territory

* Standing, walking, sitting, talking, and listening for extended periods

* Exposure to patient environments and potential health risks

* Must comply with N95 fit testing and respiratory protection requirements
