Job Description
Join a leading health system in New Mexico as Director of Emergency Services, overseeing operations across two connected emergency departments. This role offers broad scope, strong visibility, and the chance to shape culture and drive performance across a combined team.
The organization is a regional leader in acute and specialty care, known for its investment in advanced technology, including robotic-assisted surgical capabilities, and for its long-standing commitment to staff development and collaborative leadership. The main hospital campus operates as a large acute care facility offering a broad range of specialty services, and the organization is recognized throughout the region for its patient-centered approach to care and its focus on developing internal leadership talent.
The Director of Emergency Services will oversee two emergency departments operating under a shared license, supported by a combined staffing team that moves between both locations to maintain consistent coverage and patient flow. Responsibilities include strategic planning, staff development and succession planning, physician relationship management, quality and regulatory compliance oversight, budget development and financial stewardship, and collaboration with behavioral health, medical surgical, and other inpatient leadership teams. The role reports directly to hospital leadership and offers the opportunity to bring stability, consistency, and strong communication practices to a team that is ready for steady, engaged leadership.
This position is based in the Southwestern United States, in a metro area known for its high desert scenery, mild four season climate, and access to extensive outdoor recreation. The region offers a lower cost of living compared to many major metro areas, along with a growing healthcare and technology economy and a strong sense of community. It is an appealing destination for leaders seeking a strong quality of life alongside meaningful professional opportunity.
This role offers a base salary of up to 150,000 dollars, along with a full benefits package. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate, and interview travel is reimbursed. This is a full time, director level opportunity for a leader ready to take on broader responsibility and make a lasting impact. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply to learn more about this opportunity.
