What You'll Need to Be Successful:

• Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the California Department of Public Health (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Graduation from a certified/accredited ARRT program.
• One (1) year of experience performing interventional radiology procedures as a certificated Radiologic Technologist.
• Knowledge of interventional, neurovascular, and vascular procedures.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, radiation-reducing techniques, and best practices.
• Ability to perform scrub procedures (positioning, prep, table set-up, draping, supply selection) using sterile technique.
• California Fluoroscopy certification (noted as part of the licensing/certification expectations in the job details).

What You'll Be Doing:

• Circulate and scrub in to support diagnostic, interventional, neurovascular, vascular, and radiology procedures.
• Assist physicians with invasive diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures using sterile technique in the IR suite, operating room, and/or at bedside.
• Obtain and identify angiographic images while applying radiation-reducing techniques aligned with best practice.
• Instruct and position patients; position equipment; select technical factors; and obtain images as directed.
• Manage and transmit images through PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
• Review charts, history, and lab work to assess for contraindications prior to procedures.
• Document procedures in the electronic medical record, including vitals, medications, labs, allergies, supplies used, and other key details.
• Coordinate patient transport to/from the IR suite and support room readiness.
• Clean, restock, and maintain appropriate inventory levels within the IR suite.
• Track and bill procedures and associated supplies.
